You are enough. Accepting oneself plays a very vital role in living a happy and fulfilling life. It is absolutely fine to have flaws; every one of us has flaws, but you should focus on the positive things about yourself and celebrate them. You do not need to be perfect; you just need to be real and true to yourself. Self-acceptance makes you stronger mentally, emotionally and physically. Do not put yourself in a situation where you feel stuck and cannot move forward. Life goes on and you should keep going and moving forward. Do not sacrifice your life for people who are not loyal to you. Do not lose who you are for people who are not worth it. It is so important that we do not waste our time living in fear. Rather, try to find the courage and start living your dreams and aspirations. Take risks because failures are always better than regrets. Get up, put your best face on and do what you love. Stop doubting yourself because you don’t want to dwell on the ‘what ifs’ later on in life. Sometimes, life shows you the worst before allowing you to live your best. Maybe it’s to give you motivation to make sure you never return to that place again, or maybe it’s to make you appreciate how far you’ve come. Who knows, but it makes you realise that you are done descending. It is time to rise up with your newly formed friends: Power and Courage. Forget the toxic friends who constantly put you down, Power and Courage will lift you up and enable you to live your best life. It is not vain to feel and know that you are beautiful, amazing, special and to love yourself. We are taught that people who say this are arrogant and deluded, without realising that they are simply unapologetically confident. We are taught to feel that we are not good enough, that we must live up to someone else’s expectation. However, you need to love who you are and absolutely cherish yourself because, my friends, YOU ARE ENOUGH. In life, it does not matter who you used to be; what matters is who you are TODAY. Always remember that you are not your mistakes. You are not your failures. You are not your mishaps. You are not your pain. You are not your wounds. In other words, YOU ARE NOT YOUR PAST. The moment you decide to let go of the past and accept who you are today, is the moment you start living. Being beautiful means to be yourself with all your flaws. You do not need to be accepted by others. You just need to accept that you are amazing, you are good enough, beautiful enough and strong enough. Believe it and don’t allow your insecurity and society’s perception of you to govern your life. Remember this: you are enough, just the way you are. Every emotion you feel, everything you do or do not do, where you are and who you are, IS ENOUGH. You are perfect. Love yourself and celebrate YOU. Vanice Ricketts

To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven. “Ecclesiastes”. We all go through different seasons in our lives, but we have the ability to create a change that will give us a favourable outcome, one that will impact our life for the good. How we deal with the seasons will determine the outcome we get. If you stay trapped in the past season or infatuated with the future season, you will miss the one you’re in. You must take personal charge for where you are in life. You cannot change the circumstances, the seasons, or the time, but you can change yourself. That is something you have charge over. Every day the clock resets our wins, and our failures of yesterday don't matter. Don't stress on what could have been, embrace what is. Just take some steps towards a new life, whether small or large and repeat them day after day. It may take months, maybe years, but the path to success will become clear and much achievable. I have learnt in life that some changes are not easy, but in fact sometimes to get better in life we have to work with change and the season that presents itself. Any change, even a change for the better, is always accompanied by drawbacks and sometimes distresses. Every morning when you roll out of bed, look in the mirror and asked yourself this question. “If today was the last day of my life, would I want to do what I am about to do today?” And if your answer is “No” for 7 days, you know you need to change something. We have the power to change our lives whatever season we are in. It’s all about our focus, and we don’t get results by focusing on the problems. We get results by focusing on the actions and commitment we put in. Remember this, change is good and change is inevitable. Vanice Ricketts

Some people go their whole lives never truly knowing what their purpose is. They never really know, because they never stop and take the time to seek. And so because they never seek, most of their days are unconcernedly lived missing out on the wisdom and knowledge of life, always experiencing feelings of unfulfillment. But this doesn’t have to be you. The purpose of life is to live to its fullest potential and to maximise every minute of the day. The truth is, life is full of challenges and uncertainty, but we can use these for our advantage by turning the challenges into opportunities that works in our favour. The day we fully understand how precious life is, we will love life and work to exploit our purpose, even though it may not be the most beautiful at the moment. Take the time to learn about you and craft a life that you can enjoy in your own space. Having a purpose makes it impossible to merely exist. When you have a definite reason for living, a “why” behind every action, your purpose and talents will drive you toward a happy, fulfilling, rewarding and satisfied life. Make it your life mission to find out your purpose and when you find it work on it to develop it. When you stay on purpose and refuse to be dispirited by fear and doubt, you align with your infinite self, in which all things are possible. It doesn’t matter what you did or who you are in life, what matters is that you are living and mastering your purpose… So get up, stand up, dress up and show up. The purpose of life is to live life on purpose. Vanice Ricketts

Over the last few years, we have been bombarded with loads of information, and most of the time we can’t even keep track of it. When you go on the internet you experience an information overload and you see people selling lots of ideas and philosophies, some of which are poisonous and dangerous. The internet has its advantages but most times it looks as though it has prevented us from really connecting with ourselves. When you look at the life of many people these days, you see them wake up in the morning and the first thing they do is to depress themselves with so much bad news from the internet, they do not give themselves any break. To add insult to injury, the marketing companies keep bombarding us with ads of stuff to buy in order to achieve happiness. We have been given this false definition of what success is and what happiness looks like. We have been made to believe that happiness can be bought. This has been exemplified by the millions of beauty product ads that tell you that once you look like that sleek, beautiful model you will be happier. You end up buying all their products and still find out that you are empty inside because what you are looking for, cannot be bought. In the midst of all these distractions, we have been wired to live a routine life. We stay in a dead-end job that we hate because of the money. We don't want to break the routine because we love the security it provides. Although this security seems to be driving us crazy and stealing our joy, we stay in the routine. Why? Because we are scared of what would happen if we stepped out and really lived. All of these things happen because we don't really know who we are. We don't appreciate our abilities and we do not recognise our awesomeness and embrace it. Hence, we live like ordinary people and end up leading a seemingly successful life whilst dying inside. This is not the life we were created to live. We live this mundane, dead life, and most of the time we end up being unhappy and sad. Remember life is much bigger than materialistic things, life is you, and you are awesome, so embrace it.
